Hey Caroline,

It seems like you're asking about CPA networks in general and not specifically about maxbounty.

From my experience this varies greatly with the network and also by the affiliate manager. Some networks flat out don't want to work with newbies while others don't seem to care one way or the other and some others seems to go after newbies specifically. (So they can screw them easier some would say.)

Some affiliate managers won't give you the time of day unless you're bringing in big bucks, some are just lame in general and some are very helpful. Whenever I've had a lame affiliate manager I've just called in and requested a new one.

In general though most networks have tightened up their requirements because there is just so much fraud in the business. That might be a bigger obstacle than whether or not you're a newbie.

If you're a total newbie, then first learn the lingo so you can talk intelligently with the networks. Then call then up and ask to sign up. Sometimes it helps to ask around and find out which affiliate managers other people are happy with and then call them up. Tell them they come highly recommended and that you heard they're great (butter them up.) That will sometimes get you the "in" you need. That or get a friend that you meet on a forum or somewhere to give you a recommendation.

Of my 3 current favorite networks you'd probably have the easiest time signing up with maxbounty. #2 would be neverblue, and #3 hydra/adknowledge. If you sign up through the links on my review pages then they know you come recommended from someone already in their network and that can help you get in too. (Full disclosure...if you sign up through my links, the networks may pay me a commission.)

Best of luck to you!

Hi I'm a newbie - and was interested to read your reviews as this is an area that has just been revealed to me - yeah I know dark ages! Just a quick question - how are these cpa companies with newbies - are they likely to approve or do you need some experience and track record? Just thought I'd ask rather than waste their time and mine.

Thanks for taking time to read this and for putting your information in such a readable and understandable format - man there's some confusing garbage out there.

Hey Scott,
I wouldn't expect to get a response within a day if you just signed up online. They're probably gonna call you and check you out before approving you, so even if your login works, you probably can't do anything with it.

IMHO, it's much better to be proactive and CALL THEM before you sign up.

I usually ask around and get a recommendation for who to talk to at a network I want to sign up with (such as a good aff mgr) and then I call them directly on the phone and tell them they came "highly recommended" to me by so and so. That usually makes them feel good and breaks the ice. Then after a little chit chat, telling them what offers I like and how much money I make, I ask them how to sign up. They usually green-light the whole thing and get me approved within about 10 minutes. :)

That's how I do it. Make a human connection and you'll be better off than if you're just another dude who emails them.

Good luck!

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for max bounty to get back to you after you have signed up? It's been one day. Also, is your account working right after you sign up? Mines not.

Yeah Bill, I agree that was unprofessional and mean. Unless he had some knowledge that the applicant was in fact a scammer that is. Several aff managers from different networks have told me that almost 100% of applicants from China are scammers, so if that's the case then I guess they were just turning the tables on them.

Obviously I have no way to know anything about your site and any fraudulent activity. Even if you have a reputable site the people clicking the links and doing the offers might not be reputable so it's entirely possible that the traffic was fraudulent.

Like I said in my review...MaxBounty is one of my favorite networks and I've never had a bit of problems with them.

MaxBounty is very unprofessional (see for yourself here -- http://www.wickedfire.com/shooting-shit/89662-fun-chinese-applicant.html)

I had applied with them in the past, got approved and later they had claimed that I had fraudulent activity on my account. I didn't understand this one as I've been in the business for 5 years.

The site that they claimed to have fraudulent activity on later sold for a very high five figure sale. Go figure out that one.

There are so many better sites out there that offer offers comparable to theirs. Again, very unprofessional!

This is a site about affiliate marketing and you're somehow surprised and offended that there are affiliate links on the site? C'mon man. If you find value from my review and information sign up with my link. If not, don't. It's all good brother!
